About the Authors
TOXIC is co-authored by Padma Shri Dr. Mukesh Batra and Swami Shailendra Saraswati – two very different lifelong journeys meeting on the same page.
Dr. Mukesh Batra is the founder and chairman of Dr Batra’s Healthcare, the world’s largest chain of homeopathy, with over 200 clinics across ten countries. He has authored ten bestselling books on homeopathy, including Heal with Homeopathy (2023) and Feel Good, Heal Good (2024), both published by Bloomsbury. He is a member of the National Task Force and of the advisory board of the Chamber of Fair Business Practices, and serves as co-chair for AYUSH, Homeopathy, at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). In 2012, he was awarded the Padma Shri – one of India’s highest civilian honours – for Medicine, Homeopathy, by the President of India.
Swami Shailendra Saraswati is the younger brother of Osho and joined Osho’s Neo Sannyas movement in 1971. He is currently the Founder Trustee of Shree Rajneesh Dhyan Mandir in Sonipat, Haryana, where regular meditation retreats are organised. Since 2019, his work has taken shape through Osho Fragrance, an initiative teaching the practical application of Osho’s teachings for inner transformation, with centres across the USA, India, and Nepal.
